Well Shoot this has been a long week! We have been away traveling again and haven’t been able to do to much in our area but we are having fun. I am getting a new comp. His name is Elder Quijada. He is a Spanish missionary from Long Beach California. And we are going to tear this place up! I have the knowledge of the area and he is bringing fresh drive to put this area on its toes. We will have fun though. Not much else to report this week we are just cleaning packing and saying goodbye to Elder Esquerra. I am going to miss him. He finished up and is going home to Albuquerque New Mexico! Fun stuff right! Oh I finally figured out how to put pictures up on my blog! Go check it out! You should have it already but the address iselderroundysokadventures.wordpress.com. It may not be all that and a bag of chips but it has photos and mostly all my weekly emails so it might be worth checking out when you’re bored out your mind and might start watching Days of our Lives or something. Point all your friends to it as well and then tell them to start emailing or writing me or something while their at it! Anyway Spiritual thought comes from yesturday being fathers day. I have always looked up to my Dad and wanted to make him proud. The title of father is an eternal one and out of all callings it and motherhood are the most important out of all. I think I suggested it before but again on mormon channel there is a message Earthly father Heavenly Father that people have told me its spot on. But the thought I want to leave with you today is a paraphrased version of a quote at the end of it. Out of everything he could ask us to call him; He chose Father. Just like we want to make our earthly fathers proud I imagine that we all want to make our Heavenly Father proud as well. We want him when all is said is and done to say something like “I know it wasn’t easy but you made it and now you get to be with me for eternity. Good job.” That’s what I would like to hear. I know that all of us can and will hear something like that as we come to accept the Atonement of Jesus Christ and live our lives as close as we can to the standards that he has set. It is something fantastic to have a All Powerful Father Looking to help us through anything huh. A shoutout to all the Dads out there. Your work is appreciated and you are loved very much! I love you all and hope that you have an amazing week! Keep in touch!
Hello and Salutations to those who may actually read these! It has been a super draining week and I am ready for a week long nap! We have been working super hard trying to get the area built and ready for me to take over in a few weeks. It is definatiley not a chore for the faint in heart! So I have no idea why I am doing it! To much for me. Thank heavens my boss is super legit! Crazy story time! We were walking around and this guy pulls over and talks with us. He asks us who are favorite conference speaker is Elder Esquerra says Elder Scott. He tells us that that is his father! David Scott the son of Richard G Scott is apparently living in middle of no where Alva Oklahoma. To be confirmed but he sounds legit! Its a fun story at the very least! And that’s about all the story I have for this week. Now if you do actually read my emails you know that at least some of the time my subjects have something to do with the thought for the week. and now you are wondering how the flip does that tie in with anything doctrinal? well let me explain. Just as its dumb to say that you have to check to make sure the gravity is still on I think it is equally dumb to say you need a sign to believe in God. Just as the fact that we are not floating around proves that there is gravity everything around us denotes that there is some supreme being and to say that it all just appeared is just crazy! And that’s what I have to say on the matter! Love you all and tune in next week for some other metaphor that I came up with in the week! Bueno semana!
This week has been super legit! We have been finding fools! The Lord has been putting people in our way that are super prepared. We hope to be turning a few potentials into Investigators and then to Recent Converts! Its going to be an exciting couple of weeks! My Spanish I can understand most of what people say but I am still struggling to form responses that are anything other than gibberish. Its coming though I am being immensely blessed. There is basically the week in a nutshell. Quite dry rather boring I guess but when I get home there will probably be stories that I don’t think about when doing the weeklies. Soo yea. As most of y’all know I am a certified SCUBA diver. (insert impressed nod) And though I have been certified for awhile now I still remember sitting in a classroom just before going out into the pool and listening to the instructor say “Don’t forget to breathe”. I am sitting there like ” yea no joke” but when you get into the pool as your going down you have been trained all your life to hold your breathe when you go under water but now if you don’t breathe it causes some complications. When you get out to open water and are 60-80 feet down you need to breathe! And every once in a while you forget to. When you are in the water with the gear on your out of your element you can spend some time down there but you don’t actually fully belong there. It is the same with this earth life. We are Celestial eternal beings sent to spend a little time out of our element so that we can learn and experience. Now just like you don’t go diving without a tank and equipment you are not here without the necessary tools to get back to safety. You have scriptures, church, your dive buddies. But most importantly the thing you cannot forget to do is to PRAY! That is your air source. Without it you are not making it back to the Boat in the best of conditions. Just like when diving some people need prayers more frequently than others but the difference is that these tanks are tailored to hold the exact amount of air we ourselves need to make the dive safely. The opportunity and necessity to pray is always there but are we forgetting to breathe? I love all y’all and pray for you continually! Hope you have a blessed week!
