GOOOOOOOOOOOOODMORNING EVERYBODY! Its been a pretty fantastic week. Lots of service lots of people avoiding us nothing really out of the ordinary. We just keep moving and trying not to twiddle our thumbs or spin our wheels to hard. I got to go to the baptism of one of the people I got to find and teach a little while I was in Mustang so a shout out to Bro. Richard Retwill. That was an awesome experience and I am so glad I was able to be a part of it. This week we are going to just hit it hard and hope for the Lords blessings to be with us! This Friday we have interviews with the mission President and those are always pretty dang cool because we get a little while of just one on one with the spiritual Giant that President Walkenhorst is. As always your emails and letters are appreciated! Contact with the outside world is scarce and I am craving more knowledge that you can give me! So Please Blow up my mailbox! The Breakup line above does have significance to our spiritual thought today just incase you were wondering. I was listening to the talk Breakup with the World by Hank Smith and got some crazy good revelation on how I can best change and grow. If you haven’t heard it I would highly suggest looking it up. Mainly the idea is that we need to let go of all the things of the world. To grow closer to God we have to sever our ties and give everything we are to the Lord. Why because the Lord will give us anything and everything but just like the line suggest the World has nothing to offer except heartache and pain. If you think back a few months to one of my very first emails it comes back to the chicken and pig analogy. The farmer raises the life stock. Gives them food protection and a purpose to life. We have been given all this but are we going to hold back from the Lord because we can’t let go of something that is temporary. I have things to work on ties that I have to cut. I know that the Lord will help us as we go through the process of breaking up and he will guide us to greener pastures. I love you guys and hope that you have an amazing week! (oh and you can use that line if you want) 😉
Hey you guys! THis week has flown by. I have my new companion Elder Quijada and I can already tell that this is going to be an amazing transfer! We have just been having miracles these past couple days not so much in teaching but in meeting some awesome people that we have been able to learn a lot from and grow imensley! and the transfer only starts today! NO buts about it this area is not going to know what hit it. We are going to be just going hard and be exactly obedient. Then all we can do is pray for the Lords blessings. This weekend as you all have probably figured out is 4th of July weekend. I would liketo just take a moment to thank all the service members for the sacrifice and commitment they have made to protecting this great land. Recently I heard a talk given (I can’t remeber by who) but he said that one day the Constitution would be hanging by a thread and that the people will have to make the decision on following the Laws of God or man. From what I have heard about the recent decisions made by our federal government this past week I imagine that that time is at hand. I just want to encourage and point you all back to Elder Oaks talk that he gave two conferences ago about the Laws of God being Higher than the Laws of man and just because the worlds morals go down the toilet doesn’t mean that ours have to. Can we be as Stephen when he is about to be stoned and saw that ” I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ…”? I would hope so. That is the only way that we can make it through the turmoil that is sure to be coming in the coming years. We have to band together as followers of Christ and children of God to stand for what we know to be right. I love you all and hope that you have an amazing week and fun with the celebration of our nations independance!
Hey guys! Hope you had a fantastic fourth of July and had fun celebrating our nations liberty! A lot has happened this week! We have helped move three people (in 100 degree weather plus humidity) a few were Non-members that we had awesome conversations with after and during where seeds where planted and hopefully be harvested very soon. We met a super solid guy named Jason. He doesn’t have it all together quite yet and a few of his views on religion in general are skewed but he is preparing for baptism on Aug. 8th and I think that he will definitely be ready then! We had fun on the Fourth mostly just hanging out with the Zwiefelhofers and Brother Cipollo both of them are awesome families and had a great time! This weeks message is on light. We know that Jesus Christ is the light and the life of the world. That through him we can find our paths. But what I was thinking about this week is that Christ also tells us to let our light shine to the nations. If we are to let our light shine then we must be the examples of Christ and always stive to follow him. In a world of darkness we can be a beacon to those lost in the night. And as we follow Christ and live the way we should we gain more light and shine even brighter. As we constantly fight to gain light then instead of the darkness choking out our light then we will push away the darkness and guide others into a path that will lead them to Christ and allow them to gain the light of their own and it goes in one eternal round. I love you all and hope that you have a fantastic week!
