Wow this week flew by! It seems like i was just here at the computer typing an email to you guys! But since that time we have been able to set up some people to be baptised and then have some investigators come out of the wood works to be taught and we are just burning through the tares and finding some pretty ready to harvest wheat! I hope everything is going good for all my peeps out there and hoping that you have had a very blessed week! So today we are going back to the basics. Back to the Primary answers to every question asked in the church almost. The spiritual CPR. Church Pray Read. As we do these very simple things the basics that we are taught from almost square one in both church and in the scriptures then we receive the spirit and we receive the blessings associated with such! Its cool its so simple! Love you all and Take care!
Hello all! Sorry for the quick email last week we had to travel to Lawton for a Zone P-day and then for a meeting afterwards. But I hope that you liked the quote and it helped you through the week. This last week has been pretty fantastic we were able to set up a few baptismal dates with a few of our investigators for the end of september and they seem pretty excited about t so hopefully we can get them making those covenants! It has been passing by fast here in chickasha. We are three weeks here and It doesn’t feel at all that long. Next week I hit 7 months of being out in the field. It doesn’t feel that long at all! Pretty soon I will be back home and starting school again. (bleh) but thats still a while away! Anyway this week is going to still be a little interesting with it being the first full week of school here. But we will figure it out. This week I was thinking about the start of school and everything and thinking about the routine that was fallen into at the start of every year and unfortunatley that routine didn’t always have what it needed in there. So just the question I want to ask is what is in your routine? What do you need to change in the routine that would allow you to come closer to the Lord as you fill that routine? Are your prayers, scripture study, church seminary, is it all where it needs to be? I don’t know just as always there’s my two cents maybe can take it and get some penny candy with it. But hope that you all have a fantastic week! Love you all!
Sorry guys we have some traveling to do taday and I am running low on time so here is the thought of today take it and ponder it. “when obedience ceases to be an irritant and becomes a quest That is when the lord will Imbue us with power.” Pres. Benson. Love you all and have a fantastic week!
Hello everybody! Its been a little over six months since I came out to the field! Its really crazy because it doesn’t feel like that long! A lot has changed I now am in need of shaving everyday or else it shows. I have met more people and have been more consistent in waking up than ever and I have never felt so stinking tired and so happy to be that way! I am very excited to be emailing today from Chickasha Oklahoma! Its is a wonderful town with lots of awesome people! I Have been slid into an area with some super solid investigators! There is Lois she only isn’t baptized because she has an open wound that the Doc says has to heal first. Then there is Tammy she isn’t baptized because she just had a hip replacement. Then Grace is pregnant and is waiting until after the baby comes in a month. Then comes our miracle. We were referred to a person by a less active. His name is Henry Lawson and we get in talk to him find out that he and his fiance want to get married but didn’t have the money for a preacher or anything. We tell him that our Branch president will do it for free and they can use the facilities afterwards for free. He is ecstatic at this point and so are we. We then proceed to give him a lesson on the restoration of the priesthood and eternal families. He is so choked up he can hardly speak and he says that he and she had been looking for a church and he feels that this is the one that they have been looking for. So we are super excited to see where he goes with it! This area is really a jack pot for finding and working and I am really looking forward to working here. This week I got something really cool out of my studies in putting two and two together. SO it says in the doctrine and covenants (… and should you bring but one soul unto me then how great shall be your joy…” This is usually associated with missionary work. (I wonder why) but then we are also always told that the most important convert is ourselves. See where I am going here? We are the One! If you bring a few people into a knowledge of the truth but you aren’t converted yourself then you won’t be experiencing a lot of joy. So before anyone else you are the one soul that must be saved. You are the one that has to experience a full conversion to the gospel and to the Lord. You matter the most! Everyone else they are just sugar. I challenge each of you to look and give yourself an inventory think back 6 months ago when I gave the chicken and pig analogy. Are you becoming more of the pig or are you still the chicken. I love you all and hope that you have a fantastically blessed week!
Happy Monday everybody! Last night we got Transfer Doctrine. I am going to a Branch in a town called Chickasha Oklahoma. I will be there with an Elder Santana from IDK where. I will also pass along my address just incase someone out there would like to send a letter or something. But it will be fun! We had a superb week. I got to go to the temple twice and had the best detox a person could get and I am almost through saying goodbye to the awesome people here in Alva I am going to miss them a lot and want to give them a shout out for all that they have done for me here. So this week it will be new area, new people, new love! I am stoked! Besides that I have just done a photo drop on my blog check them out! I haven’t been able to caption them yet but I hope that you enjoy them! Would love photos from all of Y’all! Family photos funny photos selfies just shoot them over I need to see your bright and smiley faces! so anymahauser! Thinks and thoughts of the week. Mathew 5:14 states that “ye are the light of the world, A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.” that is a profound statement. A city set on a hill can not be hid. We are all cities on hills. Everything we do is noticed. So in conjunction with that we must be a nice and bright city. If we are dull and dirty obnoxious annoying and bad examples everybody will see. SO be the opposite! Live your life close to Christ and you will be able to help others be the same. you may not even know it but it will! Love you all and hope you have a fantastic week!
