Ready or not here You are

Happy Monday everybody! Last night we got Transfer Doctrine. I am going to a Branch in a town called Chickasha Oklahoma. I will be there with an Elder Santana from IDK where. I will also pass along my address just incase someone out there would like to send a letter or something. But it will be fun! We had a superb week. I got to go to the temple twice and had the best detox a person could get and I am almost through saying goodbye to the awesome people here in Alva I am going to miss them a lot and want to give them a shout out for all that they have done for me here. So this week it will be new area, new people, new love! I am stoked! Besides that I have just done a photo drop on my blog check them out! I haven’t been able to caption them yet but I hope that you enjoy them! Would love photos from all of Y’all! Family photos funny photos selfies just shoot them over I need to see your bright and smiley faces! so anymahauser! Thinks and thoughts of the week. Mathew 5:14 states that “ye are the light of the world, A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.” that is a profound statement. A city set on a hill can not be hid. We are all cities on hills. Everything we do is noticed. So in conjunction with that we must be a nice and bright city. If we are dull and dirty obnoxious annoying and bad examples everybody will see. SO be the opposite! Live your life close to Christ and you will be able to help others be the same. you may not even know it but it will! Love you all and hope you have a fantastic week!

I’m leaving on a jet plane! (insert John Denver voice)

Hey there everybody! This week has been interesting lets leave it at that…! What has been exciting is that My companion Elder Quijada is training a brand new missionary next transfer (applause) yep unfortunately that means that I am leaving the beautiful town of Alva Oklahoma to an undisclosed location because I wont even know for myself for another week! But the Lord knows where he needs me and that’s where I will go. So time for my two cents on a gospel related topic! This week I have been thinking about forgiveness. How wonderful it is. I have been reading The Miracle of Forgiveness by Spencer W. Kimball (excellent read would highly recommend it but it is a little blunt and not for the faint of heart) But it talks about how the Savior loved to forgive others. His whole mission here on earth was to redeem us both from the fall of Adam and to provide a way that we can be forgiven of our sins and receive eternal exaltation! How fantastic is that! Now because he found such joy we know we can: but more than that we are commanded to forgive others otherwise we receive no forgiveness for ourselves. In fact if we don’t forgive others we bring ourselves under condemnation and end up worse than the original transgressor. So what do we learn form this short sweet message. Let go of your grudges and you will be happy not only when you do but also in the eternities because you will be found guiltless in front of our heavenly father! Thanks to all my loyal subscribers remember pictures are available to be found on my Blog elderroundysokadventures.wordpress.com. (forgive that I haven’t uploaded new ones I broke my sd to usb adapter…) But have a fantastic week keep the full time missionaries everywhere in your prayers and remember to Keep on Keepin on! Love!

Israel the Gathering

Hello Everyone! We have had an excellent week here doing service and being with some super cool members. We have a few potentials and a few new investigators showing promise and that’s about what we have to report and account on for this week. So its time for a thought. I have unfortunately though I have tried not to I have become victim to the cad game of Magic. I was in it before and thought I was done but I guess not. Any way each card usually has a Quote at the bottom and there is one that has been on my mind for a couple weeks. At the bottom of Settesan Battle Priest the quote says ” your God teaches you to destroy. My god teaches me to protect what I hold dear and that is why I will prevail.” Pretty profound for a trading card game right. But its so true! Satan the Adversary only knows how to tear down. Our Father and Our Savior Jesus Christ Takes us when we are at our lowest and takes to amazing new heights! And we learn Multiple times from the scriptures that when God is with us no one can stand against us. That is why in the end however hopeless it looks now we will prevail. I look forward to hearing from y’all this week! Send me an email with your favorite color! Love All Y’all!

Roses are red violets are blue sugar is sweet and so were you… but now the roses are wilted the violets are dead the sugar bowls empty and so is your head

GOOOOOOOOOOOOODMORNING EVERYBODY! Its been a pretty fantastic week. Lots of service lots of people avoiding us nothing really out of the ordinary. We just keep moving and trying not to twiddle our thumbs or spin our wheels to hard. I got to go to the baptism of one of the people I got to find and teach a little while I was in Mustang so a shout out to Bro. Richard Retwill. That was an awesome experience and I am so glad I was able to be a part of it. This week we are going to just hit it hard and hope for the Lords blessings to be with us! This Friday we have interviews with the mission President and those are always pretty dang cool because we get a little while of just one on one with the spiritual Giant that President Walkenhorst is. As always your emails and letters are appreciated! Contact with the outside world is scarce and I am craving more knowledge that you can give me! So Please Blow up my mailbox! The Breakup line above does have significance to our spiritual thought today just incase you were wondering. I was listening to the talk Breakup with the World by Hank Smith and got some crazy good revelation on how I can best change and grow. If you haven’t heard it I would highly suggest looking it up. Mainly the idea is that we need to let go of all the things of the world. To grow closer to God we have to sever our ties and give everything we are to the Lord. Why because the Lord will give us anything and everything but just like the line suggest the World has nothing to offer except heartache and pain. If you think back a few months to one of my very first emails it comes back to the chicken and pig analogy. The farmer raises the life stock. Gives them food protection and  a purpose to life. We have been given all this but are we going to hold back from the Lord because we can’t let go of something that is temporary. I have things to work on ties that I have to cut. I know that the Lord will help us as we go through the process of breaking up and he will guide us to greener pastures. I love you guys and hope that you have an amazing week! (oh and you can use that line if you want) 😉

Let Freedom Ring

Hey you guys! THis week has flown by. I have my new companion Elder Quijada and I can already tell that this is going to be an amazing transfer! We have just been having miracles these past couple days not so much in teaching but in meeting some awesome people that we have been able to learn a lot from and grow imensley! and the transfer only starts today!  NO buts about it this area is not going to know what hit it. We are going to be just going hard and be exactly obedient. Then all we can do is pray for the Lords blessings. This weekend as you  all have probably figured out is 4th of July weekend. I would liketo just take a moment to thank all the service members for the sacrifice and commitment they have made to protecting this great land. Recently I heard a talk given (I can’t remeber by who) but he said that one day the Constitution would be hanging by a thread and that the people will have to make the decision on following the Laws of God or man. From what I have heard about the recent decisions made by our federal government this past week I imagine that that time is at hand. I just want to encourage and point you all back to Elder Oaks talk that he gave two conferences ago about the Laws of God being Higher than the Laws of man and just because the worlds morals go down the toilet doesn’t mean that ours have to. Can we be as Stephen when he is about to be stoned and saw that ” I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ…”? I would hope so. That is the only way that we can make it through the turmoil that is sure to be coming in the coming years. We have to band together as followers of Christ and children of God to stand for what we know to be right. I love you all and hope that you have an amazing week and fun with the celebration of our nations independance!

We all know what happens in the dark

Hey guys! Hope you had a fantastic fourth of July and had fun celebrating our nations liberty! A lot has happened this week! We have helped move three people (in 100 degree weather plus humidity) a few were Non-members that we had awesome conversations with after and during where seeds where planted and hopefully be harvested very soon. We met a super solid guy named Jason. He doesn’t have it all together quite yet and a few of his views on religion in general are skewed but he is preparing for baptism on Aug. 8th and I think that he will definitely be ready then! We had fun on the Fourth mostly just hanging out with the Zwiefelhofers and Brother Cipollo both of them are awesome families and had a great time! This weeks message is on light. We know that Jesus Christ is the light and the life of the world. That through him we can find our paths. But what I was thinking about this week is that Christ also tells us to let our light shine to the nations. If we are to let our light shine then we must be the examples of Christ and always stive to follow him. In a world of darkness we can be a beacon to those lost in the night. And as we follow Christ and live the way we should we gain more light and shine even brighter. As we constantly fight to gain light then instead of the darkness choking out our light then we will push away the darkness and guide others into a path that will lead them to Christ and allow them to gain the light of their own and it goes in one eternal round. I love you all and hope that you have a fantastic week!

Tell them I’m Coming and Heavens Coming With Me!

Well Shoot this has been a long week! We have been away traveling again and haven’t been able to do to much in our area but we are having fun. I am getting a new comp. His name is Elder Quijada. He is a Spanish missionary from Long Beach California. And we are going to tear this place up! I have the knowledge of the area and he is bringing fresh drive to put this area on its toes. We will have fun though. Not much else to report this week we are just cleaning packing and saying goodbye to Elder Esquerra. I am going to miss him. He finished up and is going home to Albuquerque New Mexico! Fun stuff right! Oh I finally figured out how to put pictures up on my blog! Go check it out! You should have it already but the address iselderroundysokadventures.wordpress.com. It may not be all that and a bag of chips but it has photos and mostly all my weekly emails so it might be worth checking out when you’re bored out your mind and might start watching Days of our Lives or something. Point all your friends to it as well and then tell them to start emailing or writing me or something while their at it! Anyway Spiritual thought comes from yesturday being fathers day. I have always looked up to my Dad and wanted to make him proud. The title of father is an eternal one and out of all callings it and motherhood are the most important out of all. I think I suggested it before but again on mormon channel there is a message Earthly father Heavenly Father that people have told me its spot on. But the thought I want to leave with you today is a paraphrased version of a quote at the end of it. Out of everything he could ask us to call him; He chose Father. Just like we want to make our earthly fathers proud I imagine that we all want to make our Heavenly Father proud as well. We want him when all is said is and done to say something like “I know it wasn’t easy but you made it and now you get to be with me for eternity. Good job.” That’s what I would like to hear. I know that all of us can and will hear something like that as we come to accept the Atonement of Jesus Christ and live our lives as close as we can to the standards that he has set. It is something fantastic to have a All Powerful Father Looking to help us through anything huh. A shoutout to all the Dads out there. Your work is appreciated and you are loved very much! I love you all and hope that you have an amazing week! Keep in touch!
